The Housing Future Project

The Housing Future Project exists to make the global housing crisis easier to understand through historical context, current data, independent research, global comparisons, original analysis, and future scenarios.

The long-term purpose is to document how housing affordability and housing availability came to be as they are, what the evidence shows today, what could happen if nothing changes, and what could realistically change the trajectory.

The project will keep evolving as new official statistics, legislation, research, and news developments become available. New country and city dossiers are published only when they contain enough sourced material to help a reader. Thin pages are a credibility risk, not a growth strategy.
