Toronto
CMHC's 2026 supply work finds that Toronto's remaining housing gap is increasingly concentrated in the ownership market, while rental construction has been the main source of new homes. The city still needs a large increase in annual starts, on CMHC's estimates, to restore pre-pandemic affordability over the next decade.
London
